Antechamber of E.

What if we added a sonic collection to the city library of Komaki? This initial question led to a listening space in the entrance area of the library where over 400 sounds could be heard continuously. Set as a compositional piece, the listener was exposed to a constantly changing score in 10-minute frame. The sources, chosen by an algorithmic patch thus revealed new combinations, an ever-changing soundscape compiled of carefully chosen field recordings, documents of performances, interviews, studio recordings and snippets of finished compositions. Antechamber of E. creates echoes, reveals sounds on the edge of our consciousness, makes us listen like an elephant and eavesdrops on memories from faraway places.
